Frequently asked questions
What mower height should I use for most cool-season lawns?
A safe default is 3"–3.5". Taller grass shades soil, reduces weeds, and softens noise. Our Mowing Basics course explains exceptions for varieties and seasons.
How often should I water?
Aim for about 1" total per week, including rainfall, applied in 1–2 deep sessions. Early morning watering reduces evaporation. See Irrigation Setup & Tuning.
Are battery mowers powerful enough?
Modern battery units can handle small to mid-sized lawns while reducing noise and fumes. We cover blade care and runtime planning in Equipment & Safety.
What’s the difference between dethatching and aeration?
Dethatching removes surface thatch; aeration pulls cores to relieve compaction. Choose based on thatch depth and soil structure. Our Seasonal Renovation path compares both with checklists.
Do you offer refunds?
Yes. If a course isn’t a fit within 14 days and under 30% completion, contact us. We’ll review and help you switch or refund per our Terms.
How long do I keep access to a course?
Purchases include lifetime access, including future updates to lessons and checklists.
Can I share access with my household?
One household may share a single login. For crews or multiple addresses, consider group access—contact us to set it up.
